Expedition3 collectionsExpedition is a profile-picture (PFP) non-fungible token (NFT) collection of approximately 1,100 tokens, launched on Stargaze on 24 June 2024. It is the founding collection of the Expedition community project in the Cosmos ecosystem.
Each token depicts an avatar with its own identity, while the collection as a whole is framed as the crew of a ship a metaphor the project summarises as "part of the crew, part of the ship". The stated premise is that ownership confers membership of a community exploring the NFT space together rather than possession of an image alone.
Design and themes
The collection is built around the ideas of community, shared progress and overcoming challenges collectively. Project material describes each avatar as having an individual "soul" while functioning as one member of a larger crew, and the collection is presented as telling the story of people pursuing something larger together.
The collection carries a 5% creator royalty and trades on Stargaze, which migrated from its own layer-1 blockchain to the Cosmos Hub in early 2026.
Related collections
Two further collections have been issued under the same project. Stamps is built around themes of collecting and memory. Banners was a free mint created for the Stargaze 2025 New Year event, consisting of landscape images intended for display on social media profiles, later incorporated into a virtual gallery on the project's website.
Ecosystem position
Holding an Expedition NFT has qualified wallets for third-party distributions elsewhere in the Cosmos NFT sector. Expedition was among the collections eligible for the $CULT airdrop accompanying The Architects mint in April 2025, and appeared in a second-tier whitelist for the Waystones collection alongside Bad Kids, Celestine Sloth Society and Mad Scientists.
Stargaze's weekly top-volume rankings during 2026 have listed Expedition among the platform's more actively traded collections.
